Some examples of 3D and 2D art I created for the recently released co-op game Dung Ho! Working with an extremely tiny team with limited resources and a fairly short time frame to ship the project presented us with some challenges to consider when developing the art style. Our main focus was to be able to quickly produce colorful, fun models that read well at the large scale of the world for an insect-sized player. Gradients, vivid colors found in the real-world biomes, lightly-tiling textures are found throughout our environment art, with sculpting and normal maps used sparingly.
I was responsible for character art, props, as well as UI design, including 2D art for icons and menus, and concept art.
